Focusing on what’s really important, otherwise known as the art of ignoring bullshit things.
About a 3 months ago I drove my car too close to a curb. My front spoiler fell off. I didn’t know this at the time and it was actually as I was driving down I-H10 when the whole thing flew off and I ran over it. Hmph!
A pretty expensive car – with a missing spoiler… and I DON’T CARE.
See folks, I was busy. Real busy.
I’m not gonna stop my day to talk to a few bumper repair shops and visit the dealer for a
$2000.00 repair.
I’ll get it done when it’s convenient for me. It’s not selfish, nor is it pompous, as I am sure some might be thinking. If you’ve seen my car then you might be thinking that. But in the end, it’s just a car.
Actually taking time to speak to them, pay a visit to the repair shop and maybe even call the insurance
company would have easily cost me thousands of dollars. That’s the worth of my time. Seriously.
How much is your time worth?
I hope you got the moral of the story here.
Big picture. Do what matters. The small stuff will all wash out in the end.
